CGS sections will be contacted this month about their interest in hosting Dr. Jean-Marie Konrad of Université Laval as he tours Canada to present the 100th Cross Canada Lecture.
Dr. Konrad has identified the 2nd half of October and early November as the best time period in his schedule so protect those weeks in your calendar. The talks proposed include Advances in Dam Design (centrifuge, core overtopping, particle breakage), An Engineering Framework for Thaw Consolidation, An Engineering Framework for Particle Breakage in Granular Soils, and Permeability Anisotropy in Compacted Tills: Myth or Reality?
Look for more details this September on the schedule for the fall 2017 “Centennial” Cross Canada Lecture Tour.
