This paper has been made available through permission from NRC Research Press. The paper provides a useful list of references on published site characterization research.

Canadian Geotechnical Heritage Project 1986
The file (Univ. of Alberta Archives, Accession No. 86-29) contains an inventory of documents, tapes and transcripts of interviews carried out for the Canadian Geotechnical Heritage Project in 1986. Some of this material formed the basis of the Historical Review published as a Commemerative Edition of Geotechical News at the time of the 50th Canadian Geotechnical Conference in Ottawa in 1997.
