Pan-American Bright Spark Lectures on Unsaturated Soils

Nominations for the Pan-American Bright Spark Lectures on Unsaturated Soils.

Deadline for nomination is 30 September 2024. Nominations from Canadian members may only be submitted by members of TC106 (Canadian TC106 members are Prof. D.G. Fredlund and Prof. Sai Vanapalli).

Submit the necessary documentation to sai.vanapalli@uottawa.ca by 28th August 2024 to make a nomination. Each TC106 member can submit a maximum of three nominations. Prof. Fredlund and Prof. Sai Vanapalli will jointly submit the nominations on behalf of Canadian members. If there are more than 6 nominations, a committee will short list the candidates.

Nominations for the lecture awards and all supporting documents will be submitted  by Canadian TC106 members to Prof. Adrian Russell, the Awards Task-force leader (a.russell@unsw.edu.au) such that they reach by 30th August.

This Lecture honor is awarded to young person(s) to recognize research from early career researchers that is highly significant. The lecturer/s must be from the Pan-American region. Lecturer/s will receive a certificate and will be invited to give a 20-30 minute presentation at the 4th Pan-American Conference on Unsaturated Soils, June 2025, Ottawa, Canada in, and write a plenary paper. More details can be referred to the attached document.
