The organizing committee of the 3rd International Workshop on Landslides in Sensitive Clays, which will be held in Quebec City, Canada, from September 28th to October 2nd, 2025, is pleased to announce that the delegates registration period will open in mid-April. An early bird rate is offered to those who register before August 1st, 2025.
The technical program will feature around 50 publications, mainly from Canada and Scandinavia, covering the latest advances in the field of landslides in sensitive clays. We are delighted to welcome three keynote speakers: Professor Emeritus Serge Leroueil (Université Laval), Mr. Jean-Sébastien L'Heureux (NGI) and Professor Danielle Maltais (UQAC). A special session will focus on the results of a comparative stability assessment exercise, and participants will also have the opportunity to express their views during plenary activities on specific themes. Finally, delegates will be offered the opportunity to hit the road to visit sites affected by problems associated with highly retrogressive landslides, as part of an optional technical tour.
Note that the workshop will be held in the enchanting setting of “Old Quebec”, at the Musée de la civilisation, and will feature a variety of social activities.
