With the summer just about behind us, CGS is gearing back up to continue to provide the services that members need for their professional and peer activities.
To help the CGS Board of Directors continually improve the Society, we’re always looking for member feedback on existing programs and ideas for new initiatives. Suggestions to Lisa McJunkin, Director Communications and Member Services at the National Office at admin@cgs.ca, are always welcomed and encouraged. Or for those members who will be attending GeoEdmonton 2018, be sure to complete a suggestion form and drop it in the CGS Idea Box at the conference registration desk – our corporate sponsors have been approached for prizes to help thank our 2018 idea contributors.
An excellent way to learn more about CGS affairs and to provide your input is to attend the CGS Annual Business Meeting, taking place this year at GeoEdmonton 2018 on Tuesday, September 25 at 12:00 noon in Hall B of the Shaw Conference Centre. Ahead of the Annual Business Meeting, the Board of Directors will hold its annual in-person meeting on Sunday, September 23 beginning at 8:00 am.
