As 2017 is the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation, and the 70th anniversary of the Canadian Geotechnical Society, the CGS would like to recognize “Canadian Geotechnical Achievements”. We have received several good submissions so far and are asking CGS Sections, Divisions, Committees, Members, and/or any organization (company or university) to submit what they consider to be a significant project or another form of achievement from any period of Canadian history.
We would love to receive suggestions on a cross-section of achievements, new and old, from all across Canada.
Please submit any and all suggestions (as many as you would like) to
Lisa McJunkin at the CGS National Office at admin@cgs.ca by March 1, 2017.
Each submission should be limited to one page and include:
In addition to the one-page submission, please provide a definitive reference (article or report if possible), and a photograph of the project (if available) that can and may be reproduced.
A CGS committee will select the achievements to be showcased during GeoOttawa 2017.
