Kent Bannister, Vice President of Engineering at TREK Geotechnical Inc. and Vice President Finance of the CGS, presented the latest GeoEngineering Seminar hosted by the GeoEngineering Centre at Queen’s-RMC and sponsored by Golder Associates. His presentation, Life as a Geotechnical Engineer in a Design-Build Environment, provided an overview of the design-build process along with recommendations on how to best navigate these projects and manage the risk. A discussion of a recently completed large design-build project in Kent’s hometown of Winnipeg, MB, concluded the evening. Kent has volunteered for the Canadian Geotechnical Society for many years and remains active in his local and the Canadian geotechnical community.
