The Geoenvironmental Division of the CGS launched a Speaker Series last month, featuring geoenvironmental professionals from academia and industry. The first installment of the series included Craig Lake of Dalhousie University and Md Abdullah Asad of York University. Craig spoke on Assessing the Ultraviolet Optical Screening Tool for Delineating a Water-covered, Contaminated Sediment Layer, while Md Abdullah’s talk was titled Modeling the Transport of Corrosive Species through Highly Compacted Bentonite Clay: Optimizing Boundary Conditions. The Speaker Series will continue on a bi-monthly schedule.
