The Université du Quebec à Chicoutimi, the Government of Quebec, and the Eastern Québec (Québec) Section of the Canadian Geotechnical Society have joined forces with the city of Saguenay to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Saint-Jean-Vianney’s landslide. A virtual conference held on May 13 and 14, 2021 will provide an overview of the advancement of geotechnical knowledge in the field of retrogressive landslides and how Quebec has learned to better cope with this hazard. It will include a variety of lectures presented by renowned experts and specialists in the field of landslides. It is primarily aimed at geotechnical engineers working in this field. Please note that all lectures will be in French.
