Congratulations to CGS member Pooneh Maghoul for receiving funding from the Canadian Space Agency LEAP Planetary Science Investigation Grants, as part of a cross-disciplinary project between Simon Fraser University, the University of Manitoba, and McGill University. This diverse team of five experienced Canadian researchers will advance fundamental scientific knowledge of the Moon through high resolution geophysical characterization of the lunar subsurface. Magdalena Krol, CGS Member and Department of Civil Engineering Professor at York University, received two 2021 Lassonde Innovation Awards in April of this year: The Innovation Award – Early Researcher and the Graduate Mentorship Award.
