2023 CGS Student Awards and Competitions
Each year deserving graduate and undergraduate students compete for the prestigious CGS Student Awards, which include recognition and attendance at the annual conference, cash prizes donated by the Canadian Foundation for Geotechnique, and complimentary CGS membership for the following year. The CGS Student Awards and their prizes include:
- Graduate Student Presentation Award
- 1st Place: $1,250 honorarium and a certificate, one-year membership in CGS, free conference registration, and an opportunity to present at the annual conference (GeoSaskatoon 2023)
- 2nd Place: $750 honorarium and a certificate, one-year membership in CGS, and free conference registration
- Undergraduate Report Award (Individual)
- 1st Place: $1,000 honorarium and a certificate, one-year membership in CGS, and free conference registration
- 2nd Place: $750 honorarium and a certificate, one-year membership in CGS, and free conference registration
- Undergraduate Report Award (Group)
- 1st Place: $700 per individual (up to a maximum of $2,800) and certificates, one-year membership in CGS, and free conference registration for each student
- 2nd Place: $400 per individual (up to a maximum of $1,600) and certificates, one-year membership in CGS, and free conference registration for each student
