The CGS Early Achievement Award was presented for the first time at the 72nd Annual CGS conference, GeoSt.John’s 2019. This award recognizes outstanding accomplishments by a CGS member in the early years of their career. It focuses on the excellence of technical realizations, contribution to practice/industry, and service provided to CGS and the profession from a young professional.
See updated Manual: To be eligible for nomination, a candidate must have been a CGS member (or student member) for a minimum of 5 years. The young CGS member must be under 40 years of age as of January 1st of the year of the award. except in special circumstances (parental leave, sickness, others to be determined by the selection committee).
