Greetings Fellow CGS Members,
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I would like to extend a cordial invitation for you to attend the 76th Annual Canadian Geotechnical Conference of the CGS to be held in Saskatoon, the “City of Bridges”, from October 1st to 4th, 2023. This year, we have partnered with the International Association of Hydrogeologists-Canadian National Chapter (IAH-NAC) and the International Geosynthetics Society-North America (IGS-NA). The theme of the Conference is “Bridging Infrastructure and Resources”. We hope to illustrate how these three partnering groups contribute and interact when it comes to Infrastructure and Resources.
The Conference will be hosted at TCU Place in downtown Saskatoon. Located on three levels, we will have significant space allotted to Exhibitors, spacious venues for the Technical Program (we anticipate having about 200 technical presentations) and an expansive Banquet room to accommodate attendees for lunches, dinner and social activities.
On the first day of the Conference, the RM Hardy Address and the RF Legget Award will be presented at lunch. We have local cultural entertainment in place for the Awards Banquet, s on the first night of the Conference. Following the Banquet, we will invite you all to attend the “Rock Show” sponsored by Geophysics GPR International Inc. If you attended last year’s Rock Show in Calgary, please tell your colleagues at the Conference about your experience. It will be a rocking good time!
