The Canadian Geotechnical Society has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA). The GBA helps its members and their clients confront risk and optimize business performance by delivering unique professional resources, programs and services. The Association is widely regarded as geoprofessionals’ best source of comprehensive business guidance. The intent of the memorandum is to encourage our memberships to be actively involved in each other’s organization, to seek and share technical-focused content from CGS and business-focused content from GBA. CGS believes this collaboration will be of significant benefit to our practicing members, consultants, industry, and owners. More information on the GBA can be found at www.geoprofessional.org.
There will be a Special Session at GeoSaskatoon 2023 which will include a formal signing of the MOU and a first presentation by GBA’s Matt Moler (president) and Joel Carson (Executive Director). Check the conference program for time and location. Many thanks to Seán MacEoin and Kent Bannister of the CGS Professional Practice Committee and Matt Moler and Joel Carson of GBA for working together to develop and deliver this initiative on behalf of our practicing members.
