2024 CGS Membership Renewal

CGS members received their 2024 membership renewal emails last week, and the website is open for renewals. At the GeoSaskatoon 2023 Conference, the CGS Board of Directors and the CGS Members Assembly voted to approve the following fees for 2024 (unchanged from 2023): Regular Member - $240; Retired Member - $80; Student Member - $50. The fees are the same for national and international members.

CGS membership benefits include:

online access to the monthly Canadian Geotechnical Journal (including all past issues)
printed and online copies of the quarterly Canadian Geotechnique - The CGS Magazine
all past copies of the Geotechnical News magazine
the monthly CGS E-News
online access to past CGS Conference proceedings, featured special lectures, and past webinars
reduced member pricing for CGS annual conference registration
advanced notice of the spring and fall CGS Cross Canada Lecture Tours
primary membership in one of CGS’s seven divisions, and for Regular Members the associated international society
involvement in one of 20 CGS local sections
participation in any of the nine CGS committees
opportunities to network with other Canadian geotechnical professionals
access to exclusive virtual events
Young Professionals mentorship program (new!)

After renewing, please take a moment to check your contact information and local CGS Section choice by selecting Edit your Account from the left navigation menu. Your mailing address is used for sending the quarterly CGS member magazine, Canadian Geotechnique. There is also a *new* option to consent to receive potential communications from the Chair(s) of your selected Division and Committee(s) of interest.

We welcome all renewing members and look forward to your participation in 2024. For your colleagues who may not be CGS members yet, this is the perfect time to join! We encourage you to introduce them to the CGS as the benefits that the Society offers to our profession continue to grow.
