Benefits

In addition to most of the regular CGS member benefits (http://www.cgs.ca/benefits.php?lang=en), the CGS includes the following benefits for student members:

In order to promote students' involvement in the Society, the CGS Education Committee overviews various activities focused on student members: CGS Student Competitions, the Canadian Foundation for Geotechnique Michael Bozozuk Graduate Scholarship, and GEOpardy. The Education Committee always welcomes ideas on all aspects of student participation in the Society, and continuing education for CGS members.

Every three years since 2004, the Canadian Young Geotechnical Engineers and Geoscientists Conference is held under the CGS hospice. The conference involves students and young practitioners and promotes networking in a relaxed and motivational environment.
